It was about two months ago when Calvin took his first solitary steps. It seemed like just something to check off a to-do list, and once it was completed, there was no need to do it anymore. But just in the past couple days he has started walking on a more regular basis!

Calvin has officially taken some steps! Here’s a quick little video of it happening. At the end he starts to laugh in response to others laughing, but I unfortunately cut it off a bit too soon. It’s a cute thing he’s been doing lately.

Once in a while Calvin eats. Most of the time, Calvin goofs around. Yes, I may have prompted it here, but he was doing it on his own earlier. I just wanted to catch it in action!

Simple minds are amused by simple things, right?

Last week I taught Calvin how to do this trick. I did it to myself once to show him, then did it to him and he caught on right away! Once in a while you can catch him doing it himself. But here is a little video for your enjoyment.

Today Calvin learned how to clap! All it took was a couple days of singing “If You’re Happy and You Know It”. The really neat and exciting thing about it is that it’s the first thing he learned that wasn’t natural, like rolling over or smiling. He had to observe and learn. It makes me proud.
