Calvin has officially taken some steps! Here’s a quick little video of it happening. At the end he starts to laugh in response to others laughing, but I unfortunately cut it off a bit too soon. It’s a cute thing he’s been doing lately.
…because, contrary to popular belief, he is not happy and smiley all the time. Proof!
Of course his smile came back when I showed him the photo of his grumpy self.
Once in a while Calvin eats. Most of the time, Calvin goofs around. Yes, I may have prompted it here, but he was doing it on his own earlier. I just wanted to catch it in action!

Simple minds are amused by simple things, right?
Last week I taught Calvin how to do this trick. I did it to myself once to show him, then did it to him and he caught on right away! Once in a while you can catch him doing it himself. But here is a little video for your enjoyment.
I try to do the bulk of my baking while Calvin is napping, but that doesn’t always happen, so I have to try to keep him entertained while I work. So of course I let him play with in the Tupperware cupboard. But once he’s done with that…
…he finds himself a playmate.
Then he lets me know that he is interested in what I am doing up high on the counter.
So I let him take a little peek.
Then, while my back is turned, he makes a run for it!
I need baby gates.
Calvin loves to cross his ankles when he sits. I think it’s super cute. Plus, it probably gives him a little core workout, having less area to balance on!
